Head-on crash injures 2 in North Philadelphia
Earlier this week, two people were injured and taken to the hospital after a two vehicle head-on crash that happened in North Philadelphia. The accident happened around midnight on the 400 block of west Lehigh Avenue.
The drivers were taken to Temple University Hospital to be treated. One of the drivers is in critical condition and the other is reported to be stable. Details haven’t emerged on how exactly the two cars crashed and is still under investigation. Victims have not been identified.
3 injured in East Falls section of Philadelphia
Around 4 in the morning on Roosevelt Boulevard near Fox Street, three people were injured in a multi-vehicle crash. Police report that a person in a Chevy Impala was traveling the wrong way when the vehicle struck a van head-on.
The drivers in each vehicle were taken to Temple University Hospital. All three drivers involved are listed in stable condition.
The Impala driver is facing multiple charges that include DUI and assault.
Possible DUI 4-vehicle crash in Olney
Earlier this month, a crash involving 4 cars left four people injured in Olney. The accident happened on Adams Avenue just before 9:00 PM.
Police report that a driver lost control and caused a chain reaction crash. Four people were taken to the hospital with minor injuries. According to police, charges are pending.
West Philadelphia Crash Leaves Cab Driver Injured
In West Philadelphia early Friday morning, a cab driver was hospitalized after a head-on crash. The accident happened around 3 in the morning on the 100 block of South 63rd Street. Police report that a taxi cab and SUV collided head-on and the 50-year old cab driver was trapped inside his car. He would have to be extricated and taken to the hospital with multiple injuries. He is listed in critical but stable condition. The SUV driver suffered minor injuries. Police say the SUV driver is expected to be charged with a DUI.
